About Lindab
Lindab is an international group that develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes products and system solutions that simplify construction and improve indoor climate. Today, Lindab has more than 5,000 employees across 125 locations in 24 countries.
The challenge
Lindab operates across 24 countries and 125 locations, so giving everyone the same training was hard. Classroom sessions demanded constant coordination, calendars, facilities, travel, and preparation.
New hires could wait up to six months for product training because it ran only twice a year, so people arrived without the basics. Valuable knowledge also sat scattered in SharePoint, hard to find and rarely used, even for the trainer. Planning could take three evenings a week, and sessions often mixed levels, which frustrated everyone in class.

The solution
Lindab shifted from classroom-first training to a blended digital approach. In Learningbank, they created Lindab Academy as one place for product training, safety, and the basics people needed before class. Learning journeys and rules automated delivery, so the right employees received the right training at the right time without manual coordination.
The platform made it easy to build local hierarchies and departments for a global setup, so content could be organized and targeted. Admins gained an intuitive workspace that reduced time spent searching and managing training.

The results
Today Lindab can create learning journeys that match where each employee is and support upskilling and reskilling over time. That helps teams meet customer requests with more confidence and consistency.
Classroom training has been reduced from a couple of days to one day, because people complete the basics digitally before they arrive, which improves the in-room experience. Training is easier to scale and follow, with 500 employees assigned to safety training and an 89 percent completion rate. The result is less waste, better learning, and clear savings in time and cost.
“It’s a win-win-win-situation. It’s a win for Lindab, it’s a win for the employee and it’s a win for the customer.”
